Jeffrey Jackson

Jeffrey Louis Jackson, 57, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on November 6, 2021, after battling Covid for a month.

Jeff was born on April 16, 1964, to Robert and Shirley Jackson in Peoria, Illinois. He grew up as the precocious baby brother to John Jackson and Cathy Jackson Nevitt. After Jeff graduated from Illinois Valley Central High School, in 1982, he went to HVAC school in Quincy, Illinois. However, he quickly learned he had a bigger desire to drive, and he went to Truck Driving School. His love of driving led to a 34-year career with McLane Western.

In 1998, Jeff’s dream of becoming a father came true when he adopted his first son, Joshua Daniel Jackson and again in 2006 when he adopted Jeremiah James Jackson. His boys were Jeff’s everything and he devoted his life to making them into good men. He gave them his daredevil attitude at skate parks, his wisdom about life when things got difficult, and encouraged them to help him with local charities.

Jeff and Becky were introduced through a mutual friend in 2016, when he jokingly asked to be set up with a virtuous woman. Little did he know, those few words would change his life and he made Becky his bride on June 23, 2017. Jeff and Becky shared a love of playfulness and serving the Lord through their community.

Jeff loved to volunteer his time and his truck and was often found dropping off furniture, homemade cakes, and socks to various locations and causes. He would load up his truck with donations for Sox Place, the Sock It To Em Campaign, Ronald McDonald House, Jesus on Colfax, Family Promise, House of Light, and the Smoky Hill Food Bank.  In 2016, he found his charitable home with Kenzi’s Causes. This organization brought him so much joy and allowed him to not only donate backpacks and gifts to children in need, but also to be a father figure and mentor to boys in the program. He created the K Club for Kenzi’s Kidz families where he taught boys to fish, bowl, hike, and fix their bikes. Each year in December, Jeff would bring Santa Claus to the children in the program. He was proud to be named the 2019 Kenzi’s Causes Volunteer of the Year and proudly displayed his award.

Jeffrey Louis Jackson was a light in this world and will be sorely missed. Services will be held at Grace Chapel Church 8505 South Valley Highway, Englewood, CO on Saturday, November 20 at 2:00pm.
