Jeanne Graves

Our beloved Jeanne Marie Graves of Centennial, Colorado, left this earth after a long and difficult battle with cancer, surrounded by her family and loved ones. A fighter until the end, she passed away peacefully on September 27, 2021 at the age of 74.

Jeanne was born in Minneapolis but her spirit for adventure could not keep her there. She traveled extensively both in the United States and the world . Her love of skiing led her to discovering Colorado which became her heart’s home and permanent place of residence. She worked in education, literature, and her love of books led her to enjoying many years working at the Bookies children’s bookstore.  Over the years, she volunteered to support children, young adults, the elderly and the disadvantaged. Jeanne especially loved hiking and outdoor adventures, as well as a competitive game of tennis.

Jeanne is survived by her loving husband, William Graves, children Brian Graves and Katharine Woods, and six spectacular grandchildren: Meredith, Fiona, Coco, Caleb Sean, and Grant.

In lieu of a traditional funeral service, Jeanne requested a celebration of her life. The family will be posting details of this event for those who wish to join us in celebrating her beautiful life.

Jeanne wished to convey her everlasting love and appreciation for the many, many friends and extended family who loved and supported her during her struggle.
