Jean L. MacDonald was born in Brockton, MA, September 5, 1926. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, George. Jean and George met when ""Mac"" (she was the only one who was allowed to call him that) was a cadet at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Jean's brother, Wilfred, was one of George's roommates. They were married after Jean graduated from Colby College in Waterville, ME. Although her primaryâand favoriteâjob was wife and mother, Jean did work outside the home at various times once her children were older. One of her favorite such jobs was working as a library aide at Cherry Creek High School in the late 1970s. Jean was very creative and artistic and dabbled in ceramics, pottery, needlework, and country painting. She was also preceded in death by her father and mother, Merton and Gladys Gassett, and by her brothers, Wilfred and Howard, and her sister, Alberta (George) Dacier. Jean is survived by her five children: Deborah Brewer, Susan O'Dell, Joyce Purkey, Paul MacDonald, and Carol (David) Rossidivito. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Dylan Brewer, Joseph ""Jeb"" (Tara) Brewer, Jillian O'Dell, Walter O'Dell, Tamsin McGrew, and Nathan Williams; and by 14 great-grandchildren.
