Jean M. Jubenville

Jean was born in New London, CT. She was the valedictorian of Norwich Free Academy, and attended the University of Connecticut, where she received a BS with honors and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi. At UCONN, she also met her love, Dave. They married in 1968 and, after three years in San Francisco, settled in Denver in 1972. Jean could have taken any career path, but chose to dedicate herself to serving children, first at Santa Clara and Adams County Social Services, and then at the Jefferson Center for Mental Health. She had two sons, Matt and Ben, whom she loved with all her heart. She recently remarked to Dave: ""We had a wonderful life. We raised two good kids and they married wonderful women."" Jean will be remembered for her intelligence, her patience, her depth of caring, and her commitment to ""doing the right thing."" She will be loved and missed by her husband Dave, her children Matt (Beth), Ben (Ashley), her grandchildren Aidan and Micah, her sister Susan (Michael), her brother Ron (Fran), her sister-in-law Anne and her nieces and nephews Brian, Lauren, Zachary and Greg. Services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, 11/25/14 at Horan & McConaty, 7577 W. 80th Ave, Arvada, CO 80003.
