Jean passed away December 14, 2014 after a four year fight with Alzheimer's Disease. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dick; children Steve (Christine) Hait of Columbia, SC, Judy (Susan) Hait of Bothwell, WA, Andy (LeAnn) Hait of Denver and Winston (Beth) Hait of Redmond, WA; sister Dorothy Mulonas of Central Lake, MI; 5 grandchildren. Jean, a Detroit native, studied Economics and Education and was a graduate of University of Michigan. In 1949, she married Dick. Jean taught elementary school and then concentrated on raising their 4 children and their dog, Gigi. Her love for teaching extended to Art History, where she spent 25 years as a docent at the Cincinnati Art Museum including serving as President. They also spent several years living in Toronto as Dick worked with P&G Canada. She spent a rewarding 15 years during the winter in Tuscon, where Jean had a wonderful group of friends. She traveled the world with her husband, from India to China to Europe to Africa. She kept active with skiing, golf, skin diving, and her favorite, tennis. Her last 3 years were spent in Denver at Parkplace with her husband Dick. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jean's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 455 Sherman St. #500 Denver, CO 80203.
