Jean Emily Blake

Jean Emily Blake, age 89, of Aurora, CO passed away on February 12, 2016 in Kiowa, CO. Jean Emily was born on March 1, 1926 and raised in Bradfield, England. She was one of five children and all of her siblings have preceded her in death. She made her journey to the states after meeting her husband, Pat Adair Blake. They came to Colorado in 1958 when Pat was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base. Jean was active in the Women's Elks BPOE where she served as President and a variety of other positions. Jean spent a majority of her time helping to lovingly care for her three grandchildren; Shawn, Derek and Melissa and enjoyed working in her flower gardens and landscaping. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2005 and had been living in assisted care facilities since then. She passed away peacefully and will be missed deeply by her family. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Pat; her parents; and her siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Marie and son, Robert; grandchildren, James, Teresa, Shawn, Derek and Melissa; great grandchildren, Collin, Evan, Brookelyn, Kaylie, Kaden, Brady, Alaina and Aidan. Jean will be privately interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Please leave condolences for the family below.
