Jean (Withers) Becker was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She departed this world for her eternal home on Sunday, October 24, 2021.
She was born to Fredrick and Edith Withers on February 23, 1938, in Birmingham, England. When she was thirteen her family moved to Ontario, Canada. She graduated college and went on to Nursing School. After graduating, she made her way to Newfoundland where she would become a labor and delivery nurse. Little did she know, the man who picked her up from the airstrip to bring her to the hospital upon her arrival, would later become her husband. She and Roy Becker were married on September 2, 1967.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Becker; her children, Sonya (Jeff), Mike (Tess), Nicki Jo (Bill); and grandchildren, Riley, Ryan, Kaylie, Sophie, Midori, Quinton, Jensen, Isadora, and Katana.
Jean was an amazingly kind woman. She always placed her family and others before her own wants and needs. She loved the mountains, Colorado wildlife, and sharing both with her family. Jean was not a collector of things; she was a curator of memories. The greatest gifts were the ones she gave every moment: time, acceptance, and love.
A celebration of her life will be held at Bethany Evangelical Free Church (6240 S. Broadway) in Centennial, Colorado, on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to either Restoration Outreach http://www.restorationoutreachprograms.org or to The Wild Animal Sanctuary http://www.wildanimalsanctuary.org
