Jayden Ocampo Lynch

August 25, 2004 — September 17, 2024

August 25, 2004, was a ridiculously hot Bakersfield evening where Terrell and Donna Lynch welcomed their first child, Jayden Ocampo Lynch at 11:42 p.m. Being four weeks early, there was nothing short of joy and excitement surrounding this little guy’s birthday. Jayden got to call Bakersfield his first home. After a short stay there, Jayden moved to Southern California in 2006, back to the Bay Area in 2009, and then in 2011, settled in Colorado.

In his early years, Jayden was very convincing that he was the real Spiderman, Finding Nemo was the best movie EVER, and where he started to fall in love with video games and sports. At the age of 3 or 4, Jayden was introduced to sushi, which quickly became his favorite and where Donna can confidently say started his obsession for this cuisine. For five years, Chuck-e-Cheese was the go-to party place, even though his parents encouraged other venues.

2011 was quite emotional for Jayden. Moving to Colorado brought distance to family in California which was not fun. Easing his heart a bit was eating warm pizza at lunch on his first day of school. It was a vast improvement to the cold pizza served in California. Little did he know, the memories and lifelong relationships Jayden built would become part of the fabric of his life.

Between 2011 and 2016, Jayden learned the value of serving others through his faith and volunteering to help those in need which were the building blocks of who he turned out to become in adulthood. It was then that everyone around him saw his empathetic, generous, compassionate, kind, and thoughtful personality. Jayden’s passion for sports started filling weekends with games and friend hangouts that included a lot of laughter.

Another big life event came in 2016 when Jayden would officially be able to call himself a big brother (something he asked to be for years). A 12-year age gap did not stop the bond that Teonna and Jayden share. Jayden fulfilled his annoying brotherly duties which everyone witnessed. Jayden also followed through with some of the most amazing, loving brotherly moments, creating a magnificent bond between the two siblings.

After graduating high school in 2022, Jayden started classes at Arapahoe Community College where he confirmed his desire to be an entrepreneur. He found his passion in the fitness and transportation industries. Jayden worked on learning the ropes to be a successful businessman. He earned his Class-A license to drive semi-trucks, just like his dad.

Outside of “the grind” as some would call it, Jayden loved to travel, attend concerts, and take in any sporting event. He was on his way to make his lifelong dream come true, visiting every Major League Baseball field in the United States. Jayden would not miss a good hangout; he loved little adventures and a stop at Chick-fil-A or sushi (even the grocery store stuff). Let us not forget his love of video games. It is still undetermined if it was the video game or trash talking that was more fun!

What has not changed throughout Jayden’s life has been his love for family and friends, his memorable laugh and smile that lit up every room, and his remarkable work ethic. He truly was a man of his words, his actions, and his loyalty to all those he loved.

Preceding Jayden in death is his grandfather John Henry Lynch and sister Nevaeh. Mourning his passing are parents Terrell and Donna Lynch, sister Teonna, grandparents Susan and Renato Ocampo and Barbara Lynch, uncles Tramaal Lynch, Tryvon Lynch, Kevin Ocampo, Ryan Ocampo, and Jude Ocampo. Jayden also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends who brought so much joy to his life.

The family would like to extend our appreciation for the outpouring of love and support. Your kindness to our family during this time is incredibly special to us. Jayden’s legacy will live on in all of us, through the many memories we shared with him. It is time to celebrate Jayden and thank God for blessing us with the time we were able to spend with him.
