Jarrett Wiebel, 15, died suddenly on August 12, 2014 due to complications brought on by Marfan Syndrome. Jarrett lived every second of his 15 and a half years to the fullest. He was entering his senior year at Pomona High School where he excelled at every subject. He was ranked in the top 10 of his class with a 4.6 GPA taking strictly honors and AP classes. Jarrett started swimming at age 4 and soon after joined the North Jeffco Swim Team. By his early teens he was consistently finishing in the top 20 at State competitions, including a 4th place finish in the 200m backstroke in 2013. In 2013 he was also a member of Team Colorado competing at the Western Zones age group championships where he finished 6th in the 200m backstroke. He was a three time letterman for the Pomona High School Swim Team, and second team all conference as a freshman. Jarrett is survived by his parents Mike and Amanda; brother Griffin; grandparents Higinio and Dolores Gamboa, and Sharon Wiebel. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Ronald Wiebel in April of this year. Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 23, 1:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 W 80th Ave, Arvada.
