Janice D. Williams

Janice Dorothy Williams, age 72, left this world to join The Lord on August 21st, 2023. She was born to Albert and Lucille Giguere in Worcester, Massachusetts on July 5th, 1951. She spent her early life in Marlborough, Massachusetts where she met her first husband, John Hebert. They were married and moved to Colorado in 1977 where they had five sons together. Their marriage ended in 1994 and she moved back to Massachusetts where she met her second husband, Joseph Williams. They were married in 1998 and remained so prior to his passing in August 19, 2021.

During her life, she had earned her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science, worked many different jobs including as a rural route newspaper paper carrier and a flight attendant. She also had a strong entrepreneurial spirit which led her to become an owner of two restaurants franchises. However, she was most proud of her work raising her sons and caring for her family as a homemaker. Their family lived in the countryside in Northern Colorado outside of the town of Berthoud for many years. Some believe she took particular pleasure ringing a cow bell and yelling “Dinner!!” off the back porch to summon her boys to eat.

Janice was a devout Christian and lived her life in step with Jesus and his teachings. She found herself deep in The Word on a daily basis, finding comfort and wisdom in the Bible’s teachings. She also discovered great support and friendship in many communities of faith. Near the end of her life, after her late husband’s passing, she found profound friendship and solace with a small local church community she grew to know. When she was not studying the Bible, she enjoyed spending time with her five boys and granddaughters, reading, gardening, or watching ‘feel good’ movies on Hallmark, her favorite channel. She also loved her dog, Cinnamon, but most of all, she loved being a mother and grandmother.

She is survived by many including her five sons, Ian, Todd, Gregory, Matthew, and Alex. Their spouses and significant others, Ashley, Cara, Tina, and Alejandra. Her three granddaughters Adelyn, Virginia, and Audriana. Her sister Elaine, brother-in-law John, nephews Mark and Tyler, and nieces Amy, Rosemary, and Becky. All of whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in her passing by her parents, her sister Jacqueline, and her husband Joseph.
