Janice Lorraine Nowak Enoch (1952-2021) was a loving wife and mother of three. Janice bravely endured the results of Alzheimer's Disease throughout the last five years of her life and passed away in her home in Aurora, CO on September 11, 2021, surrounded by family.
She is survived by husband of 51 years, Msgt. John W. Enoch, Jr., as well as their three children: John Enoch (Sarah), Janna Thierry, and Jenika Enoch. Janice is also survived by her four grandchildren: John Enoch, Jr., Evelynn Thierry, Arya Enoch, and Jensen Thierry, as well as brothers: Herbert Nowak (Polly) and Gregory Nowak. In addition, Janice was loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Helen Nowak, and stepfather Claude "Red" Bernard.
Janice was born in Redlands, CA on December 12, 1952 and lived in Yucaipa, CA until graduating high school in 1970. She married US Air Force Sergeant, John W. Enoch, Jr., on June 27, 1970 and went on to travel to countries including the Philippines, Thailand, Germany, United Kingdom, Japan, and Turkey. Janice settled with her family in Colorado after John retired from the US Air Force in 1991.
As well as being an accomplished world traveler, Janice was a political enthusiast and passionate music lover. In her youth, she enjoyed singing in small USO groups as part of the military, along with various church choirs. Later in life, Janice served on several political committees and served as a Colorado state delegate in the early 2000s.
Janice will be remembered for her laughter, devotion to God, and her feisty spirit. While her affliction stole her memories and abilities, the memory of her life remains with those who loved her. She will be greatly missed.
