In Loving Memory of Janice Norton

Janice Norton—devoted wife, cherished mother, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt—passed away on June 25, 2025. A radiant presence in the lives of many, Janice brought warmth, compassion, and unwavering support to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her boundless love and generosity left a lasting imprint on the hearts she touched.

With a heart as vast as her will to care for others, Janice’s dedication to her family was the cornerstone of her life. She faced every challenge with resilience and an unshakable drive to ensure those around her thrived. Her spirit shone brightly, illuminating even the darkest of days.

Janice is survived by her loving husband, Burt, and their children, Zach, Clay, and Jaeda. To them—and countless others—she was a steadfast anchor, a fierce protector, and a source of immeasurable love. Fondly known as the “neighborhood mom,” Janice embraced that role with open arms, extending her care and guidance beyond her own household.

Her nurturing nature was paired with an admirable strength—qualities that were deeply evident when she became the primary caregiver for her father, Larry Holstlaw, following his Alzheimer’s diagnosis in the early 2010s. She stepped into this role shortly after the loss of her mother, Alice Stewart, who passed away from astrocytoma in June 2016. Through it all, Janice remained a pillar of grace and fortitude.

Janice had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. Her beloved companion, Dali, was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age but remained faithfully by her side through every chapter of life. When Dali passed in February 2019, it left a profound emptiness in Janice’s heart—one that never truly healed. The bond they shared was unshakable, something truly special that nothing could ever break.

In her younger years, Janice was filled with a zest for life, adventure, and exploration—a reflection of the vibrant soul she carried throughout her life. Her charisma, compassion, and courage will be forever remembered by those who had the privilege of calling her family or friend.

Her memory will live on, forever cherished and at peace.
