In 1948, Janet met the love of her life, Dale Godfrey, and they were married on March 25, 1949 in Sioux City, Iowa. They were both very active in their community and were members of Grace United Methodist Church and Morningside Country Club in Sioux City, and Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church in Colorado. Some of their favorite activities were dancing, bowling, and playing golf. In 1973 they moved to Colorado where they enjoyed camping and fishing in the Rocky Mountains. They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on March 25th, 2024 and received a card from the President of the United States and First Lady congratulating them on that milestone.
Janet was a kind and generous person in every sense and always put others before herself. Her family was the most important thing to her.
