Janet (Pryde) Baker

February 21, 1954 — November 15, 2025

Janet was born in Thermopolis, Wyoming. With her father being in the oil business, they traveled the state until settling in Casper, Wyoming, where she attended Crest Hill Grade School, Dean Morgan Junior High and Natrona County High School, graduating in 1972. She attended the University of Wyoming and pursued a career as a travel agent.

In 1978, Janet married Bob Baker, and they began their family in Casper. They moved with their two children to Centennial, Colorado in 1986 where she undertook her new and she felt her favorite endeavor as a homemaker, one in which she truly excelled. From school committees, booster clubs, carpools, and running the household, she definitely had a full-time job.

When her children entered college, she began a second career as a postal worker at the Heritage Cards and Gifts contract station. As it was a neighborhood gift shop, Janet was able to stay connected to her Homestead neighborhood community, which she enjoyed a great deal.

She is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Kaile Baker, son Brett Baker-Bourgeois, son-in-law Marc Baker-Bourgeois, brother Randy Pryde, and sister-in-law Cheri Pryde, grandchildren Nadia, Major, and Sacha along with a niece and 3 nephews and their spouses and children. She was preceded in death by her parents Judy and Bob Pryde and brother Bruce Pryde.

Her Celebration of Life will be December 6th, 2025, at 11:00 in the morning at Horan & McConaty mortuary located at 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO.
