Jane Ann Eaton

Jane Ann Eaton, age 62 of Denver, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019.

Jane was born in Newton, Illinois to the late Lawrence and Marion Eaton on September 8, 1957. She graduated from Monticello High School and went on to attend the University of Illinois. There, she pledged Sigma Kappa and was a part of the marching band and the varsity golf team. She graduated in 1979 with an education degree and then went on to receive her Master's in Business Administration in 1981.

Jane always had a love for the French culture and she met her first husband, Eddy Legrand, while working as an au pere in southern France. They married in 1981 and moved to Denver, Colorado in 1988 where they had 3 children. Family and friends were Jane's passion and delight. She was a loving, encouraging and supportive mother and grandmother. She enjoyed opening up her home to host and cook for her loved ones. She loved to dance, especially to country western music. After growing up in the Midwest, Jane never lost her sense of wonder for the Rocky Mountains and she enjoyed hiking and exploring the hot springs. Jane loved to sing and she served in the choir ministry at Cherry Hills Community Church- her home church that she faithfully attended and served in for 25 years. Jane worked in the business sector for 20 years before moving into the field of Education where she taught a variety of elementary grades over the course of 18 years. Still, her greatest ambition in life was to be used by God to witness to the lost.

Jane is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence, and her mother, Marion. She is survived by her 3 children, Claire Nelson, Samuel Legrand, and Marie Legrand, her grandchildren, Violet Nelson and August Nelson, her spouse, Phil Worack, her brother, David Eaton, and her sister, Carol Crowling. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 10th at 10:30 at the Dixon Chapel of Cherry Hills at 3900 Grace Blvd. Highlands Ranch, CO 80126.
