Jane Haskins Clemens passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on July 26th, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years Rodney B Clemens. She left behind her daughters - Karen Mammen (Jay), Debbie Clemens (Tony Damiano), her granddaughter Rachel Angelopulos (Jake), and her brother Mark Haskins (Rebecca Craik).
Originally from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, she attended Philadelphia High School for Girls and Chestnut Hill Hospital School of Nursing.
Her nursing career spanned decades and specialties, from camp nursing and emergency rooms to service in the U.S. Air Force, pediatric care at Children’s Hospital, urgent care, family practice, and group homes. Her compassion and skill touched countless lives.
Jane found joy in a world of simple pleasures. Always with a book in hand, she was an avid reader. Her deep love for animals led her to volunteer and foster many rescue pets, often becoming yet another “foster failure” in the best way. Her adventurous spirit took her on small-ship cruises to Alaska and journeys across Europe. For 40 years, she held season tickets to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, where her love for live theater flourished. She shared her creativity, teaching her daughters and granddaughter the art of sewing and tending to her garden.
Jane’s legacy is one of kindness, creativity, and love, woven into every book she read, stitch she sewed, animal she nurtured, journey she embarked upon, and performance she cheered for. Her spirit will continue to enrich the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to organizations Jane held dear:
