James Ernest Vankirk, 94, of Denver. Husband of Virginia (Wagner) Vankirk and father of Linda E. Ricklefs. He was a veteran of both WWII, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Area, and the Korean War receiving the Korean Service Medal. He retired as a Warrant Officer after 22 years of service from the U.S. Navy. Mr. Vankirk will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Thursday, January 28th.
