James Seeley

It is with sadness that we share the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather, James D Seeley.  He passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at home, at the age of 80.

Jim was born in Salt Lake City, July 24, 1942, the first son of Afton and Edna Seeley.  He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1960.  He joined the U.S. Navy on February 10, 1964.  He served his country for thirty years and retired on June 1, 1994.  He married Sharon K Christianson on June 17, 1967.   During his service he traveled the globe and lived in Newfoundland, Washington D.C., Oahu, Hawaii, Bremerton, Washington, Okinawa, Japan, Bellevue, Nebraska and Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Once he retired, he and his wife followed their two children to Colorado, where he was able to enjoy working in his garage and playing dominos with his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife Sharon, children Denise (Dave) Gregory and Brett (LizBeth) Seeley.  He is Grandpa to Kaya Rose Seeley, Jake David Gregory, Cristian Seeley and Kadin James Seeley.  He is also survived by his sister Laura Floy Wagstaff and several nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents Afton and Edna Seeley.

A graveside service will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, Utah, on October 15, 2022, at 1:00 pm.  Relatives and friends are welcome.
