James C Powers

James passed away peacefully October 19th, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sophie. He is survived by his children: Michael (Leah), Patrick (Marilyn), Carol, William (Karen), James, Jr.; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. James graduated from Regis High School in 1938 and from St. Mary's College of CA in 1942. He was a Marine Corps second lieutenant, and retired as a Denver police captain, as well as a regional director of security for GSA. Public Visitation, Sunday, 10/26 4pm to 5pm with the Recitation of the Rosary following at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood; Funeral Mass, Monday, 10/27 10:30am at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wheat Ridge.
