James "Jay" Horning, 70, of Thornton passed away from complications of his Multiple Sclerosis on October 17, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 28, 1951 in Great Falls, MT to James W. and Marriane (Slack) Horning. Jay married Erlinda "Lynn" (Ubelez) on March 10, 1973 and shared 48 1/2 years of marriage.
Jay worked as an auto glass installer in the Denver and Boulder area his entire adult life. He enjoyed being with family and friends, fishing in Colorado and Wyoming, going to Black Hawk and being around the many dogs he acquired in his life.
In addition to his wife, Lynn, he is survived by his loving daughter, Heather. His mother Marriane Holmes lives in Greeley and his sister Carol Vieyra Tackas is from Evans, CO. Jay is preceded in death by his father James W. Horning.
Jay will be missed by his family and all of his friends.
A luncheon in his honor will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ava Maria Hall on Saturday November 13th from 12:00PM to 3:00PM.
