James was born July 14, 1945, in Galveston, Texas, to Joseph and Margaret Edwards. James is survived by his wife of 52 ears, Lillian Edwards; seven children, Lilian R. Edwards, James D. Edwards Jr., Joseph Edwards II, John Edwards, VIncent Edwards, Moneeceya Edwards-Taylor (Eric) and Melissiannette Edwards. He is also survived by thirty grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren as well as numerous family and friends.
