James E. Dinkel

James “Jim” Eugene Dinkel passed away and entered peacefully into eternal life on July 1, 2026 at age 65, surrounded by the love of his family.

Jim was born on July 26, 1960 in Topeka, Kansas to Dolores and Laverne Dinkel. He graduated from Benedictine College in 1982 with a degree in Physics. He married his wife Monique in 1985 and they moved to Denver, Colorado in 1991 where they raised their four children. He spent 43 years working as a civilian and contractor for the United States Department of Defense.

Jim lived a life marked by selflessness and service, ceaselessly providing for those around him. He brought joy and spirit to every moment, and all who knew him were enriched by his unfailing kindness, humor, and generosity. To his wife, he was a faithful and devoted husband, and brought fun and adventure to the ordinary moments. To his children, he was a loving and proud father who provided encouragement and support to all his children’s endeavors. Jim was a friend and servant to all.

Jim is survived by his wife Monique, son Kevin and his spouse Lauren and their children Linus and Laurel, son Chris and his spouse Noëlle, son Jack, daughter Anna, and brother Michael. He is also survived by his close cousin Philip. Jim was predeceased by his mother Dolores, father Laverne, and sister Jana.
