We are sad to announce the loss of James Aper, Sr. Jim died peacefully on July 17th in Denver, Colorado. Jim was a wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was born in Illinois to a family with 4 brothers and 1 sister. After visiting Colorado and falling in love with the state, he moved there with his wife and 2 children in 1974. He was an avid gardener, loved camping, the great outdoors, enjoyed traveling and exploring new locations. 
  
Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Catherine; daughter Michelle (Gary); 4 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth (91) and many nieces and nephews.
