Jake George, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly, leaving a space in the world that can never be filled. His kindness, humor, and gentle spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Jake had a way of making people feel seen and valued.
He will be remembered for his big heart, his loyalty to the people he loved, and the quiet strength he carried through life’s challenges. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will live on in the memories and stories shared by those who loved him most. Jake is survived by family and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to suicide awareness and prevention organizations, in hopes of helping others find support, understanding, and a path forward. A link is below to our team page:
- Team Blue Sky for Jake End the Silence -
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord, ‘You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?’
The Lord replied, ‘The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand, is when I carried you.’ -Mary Stevenson
