Jackie Brewer

Jackie Winona Brewer, 93, went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2021.

Born on February 7, 1928 in Petersburg, Virginia to Wilbur and Flora Mangum, Jackie is the oldest of 5 children.

She graduated from Dunbar High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from  Minor Teachers College. She retired from a long career with the United States Government.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Brewer and brother Al. She is survived by her children Telemmia, Maria and Conrad and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her two sisters Ruby and Eleanor and brother William.

She will always be remembered as a free spirit and joyous light to her loved ones. Jackie loved life and her family. Everyone remembers her for her amazing sense of humor.

Services to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Chapel on August 24, with a Visitation at 10:00 AM and Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery on August 25 at 11:00 AM.

For friends and family who are unable to attend, the service will be live streamed.
