Jack Wayne Easler Jr, 73 passed away as a result of long-standing health Problems. Burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Wednesday March 24, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Allred Easler, his sister, Denise (Susie) Douglas and sons Gary and William.
He grew up in Florida on Marco Island and in Miami. After High School graduation he enlisted in the United States Army October 27, 1971 at age 18.
For his bravery and dedication to the United State of America he has received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Air Medal with Cluster, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device, Four Overseas Bars, Recruiter Badge, Expert with Rifle M-16, Vietnam Service Medal with Four Bronze Service Stars.
After separating from the military, he settled in Colorado, joined many family members including his younger brother Lin (deceased), his sister and grandmother. He completed training as an Addiction Counselor starting at Sobriety House and then the Colorado Collinion for the Homeless (Stout Street Clinic) as the Outreach Counselor for homeless Veterans. He was awarded employee of the year 1996. Disabilities from the service in Vietnam resulted in separation from Stout Street Clinic.
He served in the VFW (Arvada) including Post Commander (1998-1999) and as All State Team 1998-1999 Post Commander.
He also enjoyed many fishing trips in the Colorado Mountains.
Jack was also an Active Member of the Mohawk Association and attended annual reunions until health problems prevented further travel.
He was a life member of the Arvada American Legion, Volunteering to serve needs for holidays as for Veterans from Area nursing Homes. He served on the All-Veterans Honor Guard until his health prevented further participation.
