In Loving Memory of Jack D. Anderson

Jack D. Anderson, 89, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026. He was born April 3, 1937, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Capitola Eva Whittmore and Vidas Anderson. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Cyd Masamori, who resides in Denver, Colorado; his sibling, Jim Anderson (Agnes); 6 children; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Jack is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Anderson (Merridee) and his grandson, Camden Okimoto.

Jack grew up in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and graduated from Boys Town (Omaha, NE) in 1956. He served in the US Army in Korea from1956 to 1959 as a military policeman. Jack began his career in sales and became a prominent figure in the auto glass industry. In February 1990, he became a founding partner of Elite Auto Glass, a regional Denver-based company. As Vice President of Sales, Jack played a pivotal role in building the business into a respected organization. His professionalism and strong personalized relationships were what customers, partners, colleagues, and friends admired most about Jack.

Jack will be remembered for his quick wit, adventurous spirit, and lifelong passion for learning. He embraced new experiences and enjoyed a wide range of outdoor pursuits, including sailing, motorcycling, river rafting, fishing, camping, archery and traveling. Jack found immense joy in sharing his adventures with family and friends.

Jack delighted in surprising others and was well-known for his playful sense of humor. His kindness, loyalty, and genuine interest in people earned him the love and respect of all who knew him. He leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy of friendship, laughter, and vitality.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 10:30 am, Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Boulevard (south of Yale), Lakewood, Colorado 80227. The Funeral Service will be followed by a reception at Horan & McConaty. A private family burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
