Isabel "Audrey" Carlson passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on June 24, 1933, in Escanaba, Michigan, Audrey was the middle child in a lively family of five sisters. From her early years, she possessed a fiercely independent and adventurous spirit—whether it was riding a bull as a young girl or taking to the skies on airplane rides, Audrey approached life with courage and curiosity.

Audrey built a rich, full life alongside her beloved husband, Bob Carlson. Together, they raised a large, vibrant family that was her greatest joy. Audrey found comfort and happiness in life's simple pleasures: quietly reading a good book, carefully crocheting blankets for those she loved, and taking long, peaceful walks around Lake Arbor.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her children, Pat Sailsbery, Paul Carlson, and Jimmy Carlson; and her grandson, Derek Carlson.

She is survived by her loving children: Mike (Dorothy) Carlson, Mary Carlson, Theresa Carlson, Christine Carlson, and Donna (Mike) Koob; as well as 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward across five generations.

Her warmth, humor, and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held 11am, Friday, October 9, 2026, at Horan & McConaty Funeral Chapel, 9998 Grant Street in Thornton, CO.
