Isaac Shea O’Kelly was born on November 19, 1998 in Denver, Colorado. He was brought home to Evergreen by his parents Edward and Natalie O’Kelly. He passed peacefully at his Evergreen home on July 10, 2026 with his parents and brother by his side. He was 27 years old and had battled cancer courageously for eight years. As a toddler, Isaac loved reading, trains, the Little Mermaid and of course his younger brother Caleb. 

As the boys grew, family trips with the camper began. Isaac always enjoyed family time, whether it be roadtrips to Wisconsin for the 4th of July or winter camping trips for skiing at Keystone. Isaac began his education at the Wilmont preschool where he loved being part of Miss Carla‘s yellow group. He then continued on at Wilmot Elementary, Evergreen Middle and then graduated from Evergreen High School 2017. In school, Isaac excelled in creative writing, art classes, and of course, socializing. Isaac always loved performing and was part of the Evergreen Children’s Chorale and the Peak Academy of Dance. He was a part of many wonderful productions and even choreographed, produced and starred in his own adaptation of the King Arthur story Excalibur. 

During high school, Isaac also became interested in languages and travel - so much so that his college career took him to Lugano Switzerland, where he attended Franklin American University. While there he studied art history, business management and French. Along with family trips over the years to Mexico, England, Ireland, Spain and France, he traveled extensively around Switzerland for four years and explored many parts of Italy. He also took every opportunity to visit places in France where he honed his mastery of the language.The highlight of his time in Europe was the 2 weeks he spent in Paris as part of a creative writing class. He did all of this while continuing cancer treatments. In September of 2022, the side effects of cancer treatment forced Isaac to return to Colorado. 

During his last few years, Isaac made the most of his time, writing, drawing, spending time with friends and teaching French as a home school tutor. Isaac was also part of some trial treatments at Seattle Children’s Hospital and the Sarah Cannon Cancer Research Center in Denver. These trials, along with his optimism and faith in his Creator, helped to extend his life and earned him the distinction of longest survivor of small tumor sarcoma. Isaac will be remembered for his intelligence, quick wit and sense of humor. Isaac loved spending time with friends and family and his laugh and smile will be missed most of all.

Isaac was preceded in death by his beloved dog Tallie who also passed from cancer in April.

Isaac leaves behind his parents Ed and Natalie and brother Caleb. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Nancy Biederman, Sharon Rudig, Gene O’Kelly and Gary and Carol Robarge. He leaves 3 aunts, 3 uncles and 5 first cousins. He will be greatly missed by numerous great aunts and uncles as well as many second and third cousins. He will be missed most of all by his closest friends Nick, Katey, Madison, Juliette, Zach and Allie.
