Irma E. Vicuna

April 6, 1957 — November 24, 2023

Littleton

Irma “Paloma” Estela Vicuna 66 passed away peacefully on November 24, 2023 in Littleton, Colorado after a long health battle.

Irma was born on April 6, 1957, in Juarez, Mexico to Refugio Rangel and Estela Pedroza. Irma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Irma came to the United States in 1972 at the age of 15 where she and her family made Colorado their home. Irma’s family had a very strong work ethic where she became an asset in her family’s tortilla company (Tortillas Mexico) which serves the state of Colorado and many other states throughout the United States. In 1983, Irma met her husband, Miguel at her church and later they married, nurturing a union that lasted over 40 years. Their journey together was not always easy but rewarding as they raised 3 children. She had a dancer’s heart as she loved taking every opportunity to display her skills while encouraging others to join. Irma's favorite time of year was Christmas, she loved all aspects of celebrating but she truly loved displaying her Christmas village for all to see. Starting small, her village grew and grew every year, until it consisted of over 500 buildings and attractions. Her strong will and determination along with the love and energy from her family, especially her granddaughters, helped her endure until the end. Her loved ones took comfort in the fact that she lived her life thoroughly.

Irma is survived by her husband Miguel, her children Jacqueline, Miguel II (Abbey), Gabriel (Katharina), and granddaughters Stella and Zelda. Her siblings Jose (Elizabeth), Raul, Cruz, Ruben, Blanca (Edward), Laura Yolanda, Leticia, Gloria Angelica and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Refugio and Estela and her fur-babies Maya and Siro.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints-Webster Building, 6705 South Webster Street, Littleton, Colorado. Interment to follow at a later date.
