Herman Gordon died December 22, 2022, at the age of 97. Born March 3, 1925, he lived an incredibly full life. Along with Mimi, his wife of 67 years (who predeceased him in 2019), they created a wonderful and close family. His three sons, John (Julie), Robert, and James (Trish) survive him, as do his four grandchildren Peter (Talia), Michael, Haley, and Tanner (Sarah), as well as his two great-grandchildren Kinzly and Ophelia.
Herman received his undergraduate degree from NYU, and his law degree from the University of Michigan. From 1943-1945 he served in the Army during WWII and fought in Europe, where he was wounded. As a partner at Parker, Chapin, Flattau, and Klimpl he practiced corporate law in New York City for many years. He enjoyed playing tennis and poker into his 90’s!
We will remember him fondly for his family leadership, wry humor, sense of fairness and great generosity.
Burial service (immediate family only) at Fort Logan National Cemetery January 13, 2023. Memorial celebration immediately following at the home of John and Julie Gordon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to Elevation Hospice of Colorado or the Alzheimer’s Association.
