Helen Konrad

Helen Jeanette Konrad, 93, of Denver, CO departed this world for heaven on Monday, November 1, 2021. Helen was born February 21,1928 in Rose Hill, Colorado to John and Mary Custy. Helen’s first years were spent on the family farm in Rose Hill, then Denver, along with her seven siblings. In 1946, she graduated from Cathedral High School. She then worked as a Flight Attendant for Continental Airlines, and on November 29th of 1952, Helen married the love of her life, John "Jack" Konrad. She sadly lost Jack in 1996, and her strong faith in God after this loss was an inspiration to all.

One of her greatest joys was being a mother to daughters, Terri and Mary Beth, and son, John. Helen truly loved her family and relished being with them. She cherished the time she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Holidays and birthdays were always made brighter by Helen’s love for her family, her kind spirit, and great sense of humor. She had many friends at her senior community and enjoyed playing bingo, Wii bowling, yoga, and singing with them, and will be greatly missed by all.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Terri (Joe) Egan, son, John (Tammy) Konrad, and her eight grandchildren, Amy (Tim) Dodge, Tim and John Egan, Lisa and Jeanette Meyer, Sean, Brynn and Patrick Konrad, and her six great grandchildren, Jack, Michael and PJ Dodge, Bridget and Ben Egan, and Oli Meyer-Huxtable.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jack, beloved daughter Mary Beth Meyer and grandson Scott Meyer, as well as her siblings, Johnny, Vivian, Eddy, Kenneth, Mary, Rita, and Donna.

A viewing for Helen will be on Monday, November 22, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80246.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 23rd at 10:00 am at Risen Christ Catholic Parish, 3060 S. Monaco Parkway, Denver, CO 80222. To be followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Please join us after the burial for a reception at The Vista at Applewood Golf Club, 14001 W 32nd Ave, Wheatridge, CO. Reception begins at 12:30pm and runs through till 3:00pm,
