Helen Marie Johnson, 78, of Arvada passed away on December 8, 2021 at Lutheran Medical Center. Born on August 14, 1943 in Texas she was the daughter of Buford Rex and Nellie Bernice (Bockmon) Reid. Helen married Malcolm Johnson on August 5, 1961 and together they shared 60 years of marriage.
Helen was a loving wife and was devoted to helping Malcolm with his Coffee business. She was a very nurturing mother to her four children taking pride in their accomplishments and appearances. She and Malcolm always gave their children the benefit of the doubt and would go to battle for them without question. Helen had a heart for serving others as she diligently took care of her family even into their older years when her husband lost his sight, she was his eyes. She was a loving grandmother to nine grandchildren and counted her time with them as precious.
Helen was survived by her husband, Malcolm, and he passed two days later on December 10, 2021.
She is survived by her children, Malcolm Lee & wife Marilyn Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Marty & wife Sarah Johnson, and Dawn & husband Jeff Reid. Grandchildren Derek, Marcus & wife Carrie, Nathan, Tyler, and Lucas Johnson, Alexis, Brandon, Hannah and Heath Reid and 1 Sister, Wanda Olsen.
She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father Rex and Bernice Reid, Brothers Don and Tom Reid, and sisters Lanelle, Mary Koch, Anne Stewart, and Denise Drumm.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00am with a visitation starting at 10:00am at First Southern Baptist Church of Westminster, 7990 Lowell Blvd. Westminster, CO 80030.
