Helen Marie ""Torchy"" Hickisch

Helen Marie ""Torchy"" Mahoney Hickisch passed away peacefully on June 21st after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Torchy was born in Denver in 1920. Her father owned Murphy-Mahoney Chevrolet. She attended St. Francis High School and Loretto Heights College. She was secretary in a naval office in San Francisco during WWII. Torchy married Jack Hickisch in 1951. He preceded her in death. They had 4 children; Gretchen (Bob) Dewey, Susan (Bob) Gills, Tim (Heidi) Hickisch and Nanci (Bill) Lagnion. She had 10 grandchildren. Visitation 4:00PM-7:00PM. Rosary 7:00PM. Both Wednesday at Horan and McConaty, 1090 S. Colorado Blvd. Funeral Mass Thursday, 10:30AM, Most precious Blood Catholic Church, where she was a long time member, 2200 S. Harrison St. Private burial Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Gathering at the family home at 6:00PM Thursday. Memorial donations may be made to Most Precious Blood Memorial Scholarship Fund, 2250 South Harrison Street, Denver 80210.
