Harvey "Dean" Tripp

Harvey “Dean” Tripp, age 78, passed away in Gilbert, Arizona, on July 27, 2025.

Dean proudly served with the Denver Fire Department for 31 years, where he held the position of president of the Denver Firefighters Local 858 from 1992 through 2000. His dedication to his profession and his fellow firefighters was a defining part of his life.

He is survived by his two sons, Ty Tripp (Kimberly) and Brian Tripp (Amanda), and his stepdaughter, Andrea Zavislan (Arron Perkins). Dean’s grandchildren are Cody Tripp (Aubree), MaKayla Tripp, Reese Tripp, Paige Tripp, and Jameson Cilley.

Dean was a devoted Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets fan, and he was an avid golfer. He was happiest on the golf course, watching a great game, or traveling with his buddies.

A celebration of Dean’s life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 10 AM at Horan & McConaty Southeast Denver/Aurora, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dean’s honor to the Denver Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation, earmarked for the children’s burn camp--a cause close to his heart.
