Harold D. Wagner

Harold Dean Wagner, 90, passed away peacefully in his home in Thornton, Colorado on January 6, 2026.

A friend to everyone he met, Harold gave much and asked very little.

Born in Wray, Colorado to Roscoe and Vilda Wagner, Harold grew up on the Eastern Plains of Colorado where he was one of eight children and a multi-sport star at Sterling High School. His favorite sport was Baseball where ‘Lefty’ played semi-professionally before getting into the dairy business.

He married the apple of his eye, Patricia Coplin, starting a family with two children, Jeffery and Cynthia. After spending time at a dairy in San Francisco, he became a manager at Robinson’s Dairy in Denver and served in that role until he retired. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with Cindy and her miniature horse Utah, while coaching Jeff’s Baseball teams to the Pony and Colt League World Series Tournaments. Harold and Patty had a passion for travel and visited every corner of the country by land and sea, where they loved cruising, logging their daily adventures in notebooks and maps. They purchased a travel trailer and enjoyed being on the road together, making an annual trip to Arizona for 15 years to enjoy Colorado Rockies Spring Training for six weeks each spring. He had two grandchildren, Roy and Katy, who he and Patty followed around the country while they played Baseball, Softball, and Basketball. Harold and Patty shared over 50 years of loving marriage together before her passing in 2009.

His survivors include sisters Dorothy and husband Ted Calvert, and Carol Brown, granddaughter Katy and husband Shaun Lee, grandson Roy and wife Thais Allen, son in law Daniel Allen, daughter in law Barbara Wagner, and great grandchildren Averie and Skylar. He was preceded in death by wife Patricia, daughter Cynthia, and son Jeffery Wagner, as well as five of his brothers and sisters.

Harold will be remembered as a person that never met a stranger, loved his friends and family deeply, was always there when anyone needed a hand, and could always put a smile on other’s faces.
