Hanh Thi Nguyen

January 3, 1932 — October 20, 2014

Hanh Thi Nguyen, age 82 of Denver, CO passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014. She was born to the late Khoan Nguyen and Hoang Thi Tia on January 3, 1932, in Lai Xa, Viet Nam. She was married to the late Du Quang Tran of Hanoi, Viet Nam. Our mother was a devout Catholic whose commitment to God and her faith was only superseded by her intense love for her family. She professed the Catholic faith and ensured that her children and grandchildren understood the wisdom and beauty of religion. Hanh was nothing short of nurturing and caring - persistent in her world view to support and protect the integrity of the family nexus. Family and friends have enduring remembrance of her traits, which can be stated as beautiful, sweet, and pleasant - the sum total of her magnetism to all she touched. Dear Mother, you are forever in our memories, our hearts, and our prayers. Hanh is survived by her younger brother (Thi Nguyen) and sister (Hai Nguyen), and 7 children, Mai Tran, Nguyet Nguyen, Thanh Kim Tran, Chieu Tran, Luat Tran, Tuan Tran, and Tu Tran. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Special regards are extended to Armando Pacheco, whom she viewed as a son and we know as our brother. Hanh requested a funeral to be attended amongst her family, friends, and the Vietnamese community. Her prayer and Vigil Services are being held at Horan and McConaty, 3020 Federal Boulevard Denver, CO 80211 from October 23rd, 2014 to October 24th, 2014. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2014 at 8:30 am at Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church and her burial service will proceed afterwards from there at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
