Gregory L. Armstrong, 64, of Evergreen, CO on October 24, 2021 of brain cancer.
Greg was born in Sioux City, IA on February 4, 1957 to Carl and Eva (Dickey) Armstrong and grew up on the family farm near Ponca, NE. He graduated from Ponca High School in 1975 and served in the US Army for 2 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from the University of Nebraska and worked for several employers, including the GH Phipps Construction Companies in Denver for over 30 years, managing many aspects of construction projects. Greg loved living in the Colorado Rockies and enjoyed many outdoor activities in the mountains.
Greg is survived by his daughter Lauren Armstrong of Little Rock, AR, his stepdaughter Lindsay Gramlich (Coby Roberts) of Valparaiso, IN, stepson Ted (Jennifer) Gramlich of Pueblo, CO, and 3 grandsons: Chance Armstrong, Henry Roberts, and George Roberts. Also surviving are his siblings Nancy Dunn of Ponca, NE, Howard (Fran) Armstrong of Gaylord, MN, Jane Wilke of Sioux City, IA, Kathryn Armstrong of Ankeny, IA, Linda (Mark) Krueger of St. Paul, MN, and Dave (Jane) Armstrong of Ponca, NE and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Trevor Armstrong, sister Margaret Fiegel, and brothers-in-law Bill Dunn, Walt Fiegel, and Stan Wilke.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 30 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO. Visitation will begin at 3:30 and the service at 4:00, followed by a reception at the same location. Burial and graveside services will be at Silver Ridge Cemetery, Ponca, NE on Saturday, November 6 at 12 noon, followed by a luncheon at 1 pm at the Salem Lutheran Church in Ponca.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice, Evergreen, CO; the Glioblastoma Foundation at glioblastomafoundation.org; or to the donor’s choice.
Greg’s family would like to thank his caregivers at the Elk Run Assisted Living Center and the Life Care Center in Evergreen, Mount Evans Home Health Care and Hospice, and his good friends Gary and Anne Marie Pate for their care and comfort for him.
