Gladys Marie Miller, born on April 8, 1933, passed away on May 4, 2026. She was born in Denver, Colorado. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Tom Dixon, her brother, Richard Dixon and her children, Steven Miller and Susan Marie Miller Brunner.
Gladys was also blessed with two grandchildren, Christopher Brunner and Stephanie Trudeau, son-in-law Mark Brunner along with two great-grandsons: Braiden Brunner and Cole Trudeau.
She worked for RTD for many years and was proud to be an independent woman who did not want to rely on anyone, especially a man, for her life needs. She retired in 1998 after a successful career, and many of her younger coworkers still remember her fondly.
Gladys converted to Catholicism in her early twenties. She worshipped at Blessed Sacrament Church until she moved to be closer to Susan and her grandchildren. At that time, she began attending St. Frances Cabrini Church. Her faith was extremely important to her and she enjoyed sharing her faith with others through her volunteer work at Blessed Sacrament.
Gladys enjoyed traveling with her good friend, Beverly, with Hawaii and various Caribbean islands being some of her favorite destinations. She loved reading a good book and enjoying a bowl of ice cream; however, nothing brought her more happiness than watching ice skating. Interestingly, although she loved ice cream and ice skating was her favorite pastime, she absolutely hated the cold, ice, and snow.
A rosary service will be held Tuesday, May 19th at 6 PM at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80227. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, May 20th at 10:30 at St. Francis Cabrini, 6673 W. Chatfield Avenue, Littleton,CO 80128. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
