Gina Swets Moore

Gina Swets Moore, age 68, died surrounded by her family on February 24, 2026. She was a proud Colorado native and graduate of Cherry Creek High School, the University of Colorado-Boulder, and the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. It was at DU where she met her husband of 32 years, Peter Moore.

Gina was dedicated to service in her community and rarely found a volunteer position not suited to her. She was an active member of the Mount Rosa Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, in addition to a number of other lineage societies. She cherished time spent with her Tri Delta sisters and found purpose in her work with the National Alliance on Mental Illness. More than anything, she loved her family, her friends, and the many travels she was able to take around the country and the world.

Gina is survived by her husband, Peter, their daughter, Lisa Moore of Washington, DC, their son, Brian Moore of Denver, CO, and their son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Amy Rooney of Portland, OR, and by many treasured siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Eileen Swets.
