Gerlinda “Linda” A. Williams, age 85, passed away peacefully in Thornton, Colorado on June 7, 2026. She was born on May 8, 1941, in Czechoslovakia. Linda immigrated to the United States as a young woman, eventually making Colorado her lifelong home. She later met the love of her life, Otis “Lee” Williams, and the two were blessed with a devoted marriage that spanned 50 years.
Linda worked for many years at Samsonite, where she was a dedicated and dependable employee. She took pride in her work, contributing to the production and quality of the luggage that carried people’s most important possessions around the world.
Her greatest accomplishment in life was the home she built with Lee and the family they raised together. Nothing meant more to her than being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Together, Linda and Lee raised their three children and created a warm, welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
Linda had many hobbies and simple pleasures that brought her joy. She loved tending to her garden, shopping at her local grocery stores, and spending time at the family cabin. Weekly meals at Las Delicias were a cherished tradition. She also enjoyed baking for her family, especially during holidays and special occasions, and was known for always having something sweet to share. Linda also took pleasure in visiting with neighbors, keeping a tidy and comfortable home, and celebrating every birthday and milestone with those she loved.
She is survived by her three children, Ronnie Williams, Tina Rivera, and David Williams (Kathi); her two grandchildren, Breanna Rivera-Cashion (Nick) and Nichelle Clary (Nick); and her four great-grandchildren, Oliver, William, Maddie, and Rylan. Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Otis Lee Williams, and her loving parents.
Funeral services will be held at Horan & McConaty in Thornton on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the reception hall at the funeral home.
Linda will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her sense of humor, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the generations she leaves behind.
