Geraldine M. Svadlenka

Geraldine M. Svadlenka, 88, formerly of Allentown, died on April 11th in Aurora, CO. She was married to the late Thomas P. Svadlenka.

Born in Lansford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Gallanda.

Gerry graduated from Lansford High School in 1952, from the McCann School of Business in 1955, and from Lehigh Carbon Community College in 1994. She was a court stenographer, office manager, and lastly worked for the Department of Public Welfare until she retired in 2003. She was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena until she moved to Colorado in 2019.

She loved to travel (from her cross country road trip in 1954, to her trips to Australia, China, Hawaii, Rome, New Zealand, etc.) and visiting with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors: Daughters, Susan (Bradley) Coffey of Aurora, CO, Jean (Travis) Svadlenka of Wilsonville, OR, and granddaughters Kristen (Matthew) Mayo of Sacramento, CA, Juliann Coffey of Fairbanks, AK, and Oliver Svadlenka of Wilsonville, OR.

Service: July 10th - Cathedral of Saint Catharine of Siena, Allentown - Holy Rosary at 10:40am, Mass at 11:00.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
