Georgia Elaine Simpson

Georgia Elaine Simpson of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, passed away on January 28, 2020.

A Colorado native, Georgia was born in Denver on January 17, 1945, to George and Tillie Ochoa. She met and married her husband, Robert, in 1965. They went on to have three wonderful children-Rhonda, Todd, and Joe. Georgia had a successful 25 year career with Lucent Technologies before retiring in 2000 to spend more time with her family.

Georgia was a devoted woman to her Catholic faith who loved her family with all her heart; she was a kind woman who was always thinking of others, making her a caring wife, mother, and grandmother.

Georgia is survived by her husband Robert; her children Rhonda (David Fernstedt), Todd, and Joe (Colleen Simpson); her grandchildren Kaiden, Ally, Em, Ashley, Stacy, Elizabeth, Logan, and Charlotte; and her siblings Loretta, Charmaine, Chuck, Darlene and Dennis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be held in Georgia's honor on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Highlands Ranch at ten thirty in the morning, followed by a funeral mass at eleven o'clock and a reception at noon. Georgia will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at ten fifteen in the morning, following her cremation. She is loved and will be missed.
