George Howard Reiff

George Howard Reiff, age 91, passed away peacefully in Aurora, Colorado on September 26, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. George was born in Buckingham, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late George Henry Reiff and Anna (Tobin) Ervin. He served 4 years in the Air Force during the Koren War and was stationed in England for most of that time. After getting out of the military, he met and married Margaret Ulrich of Abington, PA. He pursued a career as a Professional Land Surveyor for over 60 years. He was a very active member of the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors even into his eighties, once recognized as the Pennsylvania “Surveyor of the Year”. George also committed over 30 years to Civil Air Patrol, much of it with his son, Greg. If he was not working, one would find George flying, saltwater fishing, or dancing. He moved to Colorado in 2019 to live with Greg and his wife, Sun Reiff where he got to enjoy time with his granddaughter and be part of his two great-grandchildren's early memories. George lived life to his fullest, and ensured there was never a dull moment.

George is survived by his only son, Greg Reiff; granddaughter, Amanda (Reiff) Metz; great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Grayson Metz; sister, Lois Lazorisak; step-sister, Janice Reiff and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Reiff, and his wife, Margaret Reiff. 

The funeral service is scheduled for November 13th, at 1:00pm at Whitemarsh Memorial Park Cemetery,1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. Reception to follow.
