Gary Dean McTaggart was born on April 9, 1952 in Tillamook Oregon to his parents, James and Georgia McTaggart. He was raised with his siblings, James, Donna, Pamela, and Randy. He lived in Spokane, Washington until 1964, when his family relocated to Denver. Gary joined the United States Navy where he served his country proudly from 1971-1975. After being honorably discharged, Gary worked at several family businesses before gaining employment at USAirport parking. Gary performed his duties with a spirit of excellence for 22 years, until retiring in 2021.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Georgia McTaggart; his brothers, James McTaggart and Randy McTaggart.
Gary Dean McTaggart, 72, of Thornton Colorado, passed away at Malley Transitional Care on March 14th, 2025.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Kelly Billings and Jason McTaggart; step-daughter, Heather Richardson; his grandchildren, Brandon Billings, Dallon Billings, Christopher Billings, Kaitlyn Billings, Shannon, April, Justice, Liberty, and Phoenix, and his great grandchildren, Hazel, James, Nova, Melody and Desmond; his sisters, Donna Love and Pamela Hildebrand; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 3pm on April 12th, 2025, at Horan McConaty in Thornton CO. Relatives and friends are welcome at 9998 Grant St, Thornton CO 80233. Reception will follow services.
