Fred D Morgheim passed away November 2, 2023 at Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker, Colorado at the age of 79.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday November 18, 2023 at

Canyons Community Church

4825 Crowfoot Valley Rd,

Castle Rock, CO 80108

with reception to follow at church.

He was born in Nebraska, the son of Frederich and Hermina (Erhlich) Morgheim.

Fred married Betty Jane Morgheim (Sterkel) who preceded him in death on October 1, 1994.

He moved to Colorado and worked as a telecommunications analyst

He had a green thumb and you would often find him in his garden growing vegetables or in his beautiful flower gardens.

If you didn't find him in one of his gardens you could often find him spending time with his many horses and wonderful friends at the race track.

He is survived by his loving wife Charlie VanderLinden, who he married on April 12, 1996, three of his five children: Steven Morgheim (Pamela), Shelley Morgheim Matz (Brian) and Joe VanderLinden, and preceded in death by his two daughters Juli Stewart and Stacy Siekman.

"Papa" as he was known by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was a baby-whisperer and had a special connection with all of the children.

Fred had a large and loving family and has three living sisters: Linda Nelson, Verna Weigel and Dorothy Buchhammer (Ron) and was preceded in death by his parents: Frederich and Hermina (Erhlich) Morgheim, brothers: Kenneth, Harvey and Gene and Sister: Sharon Nighswonger
