Frank Lee Robinson, 71, died in Denver, Colorado on August 4, 2021. He was born to the late Frederick Francis Robinson and Josephine Mary Robinson on October 31, 1949, in Danbury, Connecticut. After graduation from boarding school at Portsmouth Priory in Rhode Island, Lee attended Regis University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Engineering Physics. Following graduation, he was drafted to the Army and proudly served for two years. He went on to work for Exxon in Southern California and Louisiana. While with Exxon, Lee attended the University of California and earned a Master’s of Science in Ocean Engineering. There, he met the love of his life, Annie Langmade. They married on October 25, 1980, and had four children: Curtis, Christopher, Alexander, and Shannon.
Lee’s life was revolved around his family, his work, and his hobbies. His selfless spirit and support were seen by everyone he encountered, whether in his personal life or business life. Lee had an inquisitive and curious mind. He was scholar of history, astronomy, horticulture, agriculture, architecture, geology, meteorology, aviation, engineering, and technology. He loved hiking, camping, and fishing with his family, and was a tremendous storyteller. He loved the ocean and had a passion for sailing, scuba diving, and feats of naval engineering. Lee was truly a Renaissance Man.
In work, he had an uncanny ability to harness energy from oil, gas, water, and heat from the earth. He oversaw numerous successful business operations and projects. He left a lasting positive impact on every industry that he worked with throughout his life, and is truly leaving this world a better place. Lee was a humble servant that put everyone above himself. His family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances all recognized his humility and selflessness as one of his greatest traits. Above all, his family was his greatest treasure and adventure.
