Frank A. Zarlengo

March 3, 1921 — December 9, 2014

93, of Lakewood, passed away December 10, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife and soul mate of 63 years, Dorothy Zarlengo. He is survived by his son Gary (Toni Francis) Zarlengo and daughter, Terri (Brent) Johnson; grandchildren, Keri (Nathan), Grant (Alyssa), Michael, Jennifer; great grandchildren, Alayna, Camryn, Eva, and Lane. He served as a Sergeant in Gen. Patton's Third Army and was honorably discharged in 1945. His 34 year career with the Federal Government began with the VA. He transferred to the Department of Interior Bureau of Land Management where he received several honorable service awards. After retiring from Federal service, he began a second career as an Oil & Gas Consultant. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, family, and friends. He was a gentle and loyal friend to many throughout his life. He was an avid golfer, served as an officer or tournament organizer of several golf groups, and was an active member in the Elk's Lodge for many years. He was a devoted husband and family man to both his immediate and extended family and his favorite events were the annual Zarlengo family reunions at Sloan's Lake. Visitation, Wed., December 17, 4-6PM, Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Funeral Service, Thurs., December 18, 10:30AM, Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 S. Sheridan Blvd. with burial following at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area C. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's name may be made to Elks Englewood Lodge No. 2122, 3690 S. Jason St., Englewood, CO 80110 or VFW Post 9644, 2680 W. Hampden Ave., Englewood, CO 80110.
