A short summary of my life

Frank Baysore died at age 76 from effects of pancreatic cancer on March 26, 2026.

What I’m trying to do here is just present a small, informal summary of my life. I’m very close to my family members. This includes my dear wife Mary Jean (married 55 years in May!) We have 2 daughters—Cori Baysore and Billie Rounds. They each have 2 children including Cameron Baysore, age 26 (not exactly a child!), Jocelyn Baysore, age 13; two great grandchildren Cecelia, age 2, and Jacson, age 6 months. The Baysores all live in Green River, WY.

Our other daughter Billie Rounds with her husband Chad Rounds, has 2 children—Charlotte Rounds, age 15 and Andrew Rounds, age 12. They all live in Denver near City Park

My brother Harry came to live with us in May 2025 after his primary caregiver, our sister Barb died. Harry enjoys living with us and fitting into family gatherings.

My education includes a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Notre Dame in 1972. The Notre Dame community is large and proud. I’ve made numerous connections through my affiliation with Notre Dame. I also have a master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning at North Dakota State University (go Bison!) in Fargo, ND.

Volunteering has always been an important part of my adult life. My most recent calling was with Project Angel Heart, where, with brother Harry, I delivered ready to eat meals to persons with cancer, recent surgeries, and other frailties. It was a very rewarding experience for both of us. Prior to that I served as a volunteer with Ignatius Volunteer Corps. My assignment there was to assist in a food bank operated by Mile High Behavioral Health Services.

Another interest for me is studying and participating in educational programs related to Theodore Roosevelt who lived for 2 years in the Badlands at Medora, North Dakota. My great grandparents had a ranch in the Badlands near TR, so his life has always been important to me.

I was baptized and confirmed Catholic at Easter 2018, only 47 years after we wedded! It has been a wonderful experience, and I’ve made many friends as a result.

I’ve always found that a good sense of humor gets me through a lot of life’s challenges.

I’ve had a very good life and I have no complaints.
