Frank Milton Aderholt, Jr, 74, of Watkins, Colorado, passed away September 29, 2018 in Aurora, Colorado. He was born July 31, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee to Frank Aderholt Sr. and Elaine Hughes Aderholt.
Frank was a decorated soldier who served three tours in Vietnam and received a Purple heart and two Silver Stars. Besides his exposure to Agent orange, Frank was shot in the back and was also blown up on an army track, surviving his injuries and continuing to make the most of his life.
Frank loved teaching. He first taught in the Artillery division of the Army and he then became dedicated to teaching his students at Aurora Pickens Tech where he was a substitute welding instructor. He championed and supported all the young men and women to be the best at whatever they tried.
Frank loved his motorcycle, he enjoyed flying, hunting, his numerous gun's and horseback riding.
During his lifetime, Frank reached out and touched many generations of friends. He will be missed!
Frank is survived by his wife, Mary Quick Aderholt; son, John F. Aderholt; granddaughters, Amanda and Amber Aderholt and two sisters, Sue Hardy and Gale Newman.
A graveside service with Army Honors will be held at 2:15pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO. Please gather in staging area âC' at 2pm.
A Reception will follow at 4:00 pm at Lulu's Inn, 33355 CO HWY 36, Watkins, CO 80137
